College Basketball Rankings: Focused on the Road to March Madness

College basketball rankings stir up interest during the NCAA regular season. But Selection Sunday marks the beginning of the most exciting time of the year for NCAA basketball fans. Everybody tunes in for the NCAA Tournament Selection Show on CBS to find out who's in, to see who gets their bubble burst, and to watch Jim Nantz and Billy Packer interview the tournament committee chairman. Shortly after the show college basketball websites light up with people downloading brackets, starting up office pools, and searching for expert team analysis.

I'll bet 90% of the people who fill out an NCAA tournament bracket don't pay any attention to the college hoops scene until March Madness rolls around. That's where true college basketball fans can take advantage and use their knowledge of the NCAA landscape to fill out a better bracket than their competition.
A couple questions: Ever wonder whether late-season college basketball rankings correlate to how well a team performs in the NCAA tournament? Ever wonder how tournament seeding historically translates into round-by-round performance? CBR goes in-depth to answer those questions and help you build a solid bracket strategy plan.

Overall this site is easy to use and follow. I provide basic information including weekly college basketball rankings, conference standings, and team schedules. Throughout the season analysis is provided on conference trends and upcoming marquee matchups. I also cover the meaning of lesser-known college basketball rankings, the historical aspect of March Madness, and the bubble watch as conference tournaments play out. In addition I have developed my own weekly top 25 college basketball rankings which I have dubbed the CBR rankings. I use the CBR rankings to assist in filling out my bracket for the NCAA basketball tournament.

Men's basketball rankings, analysis, and projections are included on this site. If you're interested in women's basketball rankings and March Madness projections then check out Womens-College-Basketball-Rankings.com which I have structured the same way as this site.

You may wonder why I'm doing this or why I maintain this site. The answer is that I love this stuff. Since I was a kid I've always been interested in stats, team records, college rankings, playoff/tournament scenarios, and sports contests of all kinds. This site is where I get to share my knowledge and my thoughts on the NCAA basketball season, in particular college basketball rankings and March Madness.

If you'd like to stay up to date on the latest NCAA basketball rankings and news then consider subscribing to the College Basketball Rankings Blog or my monthly newsletter which is run through CBR's parent site AnyGivenFan.com. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions/comments about college basketball rankings. Thanks for visiting and best of luck in your quest to fill out the best March Madness bracket possible.
